about

The mixed emotions of 'Music box' are perfectly conveyed through Bec Quade's (The Millers Tale) gorgeously textured vocals. At its core, it's a song expressing regret over love not further explored, but continuing to glow at a distance. It also carries a somewhat celebratory feel as each chorus sees every vocalist in Sunday Heart Parade singing a long stack of harmonies together.

lyrics

Music box

I love you but I know I let you drift away
I love you still and I hope you feel the same way
you’re in my heart that’s on my sleeve and on display
you’re in my music box and I’ll always press play

ooooooooooooooooooooooh
ooooooooooooooooooooooh

you’re in my dreams when I wish I’d not gone away
I wonder how things could have been if I had stayed
you’re in my heart that’s on my sleeve and on display
you’re in my music box and I’ll always press play

ooooooooooooooooooooooh
ooooooooooooooooooooooh

you’ve found the one, you’re on your feet and doing great
and I’m so proud of you, I just wanted to say
you’re in my heart that’s on my sleeve and on display
you’re in my music box and I’ll always press play

ooooooooooooooooooooooh
ooooooooooooooooooooooh
